Journalist Scampini publishes a hater's post: "Unfortunately, she's recovered from cancer."

Scampini decided not to remain silent: he screenshotted the message and shared it on his profile.

Sabrina Scampini, a Mediaset journalist for Quarto Grado, publicly denounced a hater on social media. The offensive comment, written by Alessandra Allega Pomo, read: "Hey, she had a bad tumor. Unfortunately, she recovered." Scampini decided not to remain silent: she screenshotted the message and shared it on her profile . Scampini, who previously had cancer, wrote: "I usually ignore hateful comments, otherwise I wouldn't be able to do this job," she wrote on Instagram. "But there are times when they go too far, and then I get angry."

Scampini then announces legal action : "I'm now suing the lady and I hope she has a friend—as some would say—who will take her off social media and make her realize what a miserable person she sees in the mirror. If she has no one, they'll explain it to her in court." He then adds: "I don't care about the insults, but I also have a family who can't understand human misery," emphasizing how online hatred can affect even those close to her. And he issues an important warning: "There are other people who, when attacked, can feel bad, receiving invitations to death and illness, and that's not right."

Finally, a harsh but lucid reflection on the use of social media: "I always say: there's too much democracy. Social media shouldn't be left to everyone. Certainly not to the kind lady." Numerous comments expressed solidarity with the journalist. One user wrote: "You're doing well. Social media should be required to have an ID." Another: "How disgusting, what human misery." Meanwhile, some pointed the finger at ignorance: "Those who are ignorant don't know they are. Go ahead, Sabrina, strength and courage."
